Imagine a competitive scene where your record exists before anyone needs you to prove anything. We are building toward that world, and we want help figuring out the rest.
Imagine a competitive scene where your record exists before anyone needs you to prove anything. Where two rivals can push each other to the top of a ladder without wondering about each other, because both their records are right there for the community to read. Where being doubted does not have to be permanent, and being exceptional does not have to make you suspect.
That world does not exist yet. We are building toward it.
Today, Vera has a handful of public records, a new Field Guide that names what runs on a gaming PC in plain words, and a side-by-side surface for putting two records next to each other when a question comes up. Real pieces of the picture, with a lot of ground left to cover.
This is a note for the people we hope will help us figure out the rest. Not as customers, not as influencers we want to hire. As insiders, in the truest sense of the word. The creators who care about their craft and the community around it. The competitors who want a place where their work counts. The people, technical or not, who see what we are building and have ideas about how it should work.
Some of what we want to build, and would love to think through with you:
- Surfaces, events, and formats where the record is part of the show. Streams, leagues, tournaments, things nobody has tried yet.
- Better tools for settling disputes on the evidence, without an inquisition.
- Features born from real situations creators have actually had to navigate, not hypotheticals.
We have nothing to sell. No campaign, no sponsored post. What we have is a real foundation, a clear opinion that proof should never need a publicist, and an open door for anyone who wants to think with us about what gets built next.
If that sounds like you, write. The shortest path is the ideas page. Tell us what you would want to see, what is missing, what would have made the difference once. We read every one.
Proof, ready before anyone asks. The work is real. The next part is the part we want to build together.
Have a reaction to this? Vera's ideas board exists for exactly this. Bring your disagreements, your edge cases, your "but what about..." moments.
