Played in the open

Play on PlayStation or Xbox? Vera works for you now. One home for your clips, whatever you play on, and the good ones are memories worth keeping.

Play on PlayStation or Xbox? Vera works for you now.

Until this week it only worked on PC. You installed an agent and it kept a record of your sessions. On console there is nothing to install, so there was nothing we could do for you. That was most of the people who play.

So we built the console version. It is one idea: your clips are your record.

How it works

  1. When you sign up, tell us you play on console.
  2. Get a clip off your console using the PlayStation or Xbox app on your phone.
  3. Upload it to Vera right in your browser. Nothing to install.

Want it quicker next time? Add a Vera shortcut to your home screen. One tap, straight to upload. Big clips upload in pieces, so a dropped signal picks back up instead of starting over.

A home for your clips

Your console forgets your clips in a week or two. Vera keeps them. Whatever you play on, this is one place to store your gameplay for good, share any clip with a link, and sort them the way you want. Once a clip is here, the platform you played on stops mattering.

And they are not grey boxes. Each one wears a frame from the play itself, the game you were in, the moment you named, and a quiet mark from us that it is real. Because a clip is not only proof. It is the good night with your squad, the clutch nobody believed, the run you will want back in a few years. So when you upload, we ask two small questions: what were you playing, and what was the moment. Answer them or skip them. Either way the clip lands already telling its story, and it is there when you want to look back.

Where your clips go

Onto your profile, public by default, for anyone to watch. You said that was fine when you uploaded, so there is no extra step to do.

Changed your mind? One switch in your profile hides all of them. Something that should not be up? We can take it down. That is the whole rule.

Your clips can give back

A clip is yours first. If you let us, it can also do more. The clips people share build Vera's library: the good ones get featured in our posts, which can put your play in front of more people, and over time the library is how we learn how games and gear really behave out in the wild. That is the box you check when you upload, and you can pull any clip back anytime. A small gift to the next player.

We do not grade them

We are not going to stamp your clips "legit" or "sus." That is not our job and we will not fake it.

A clip shows one thing: you played that moment, out in the open. What it says about you is for whoever is watching to decide, not us. That is the point of Vera. We show the play. We do not call it.

If you play on both

Some of you are on PC and console. Right now those are two separate records. If enough of you want it, we will pull them into one: your clips and your sessions in the same place, easy to move through, with the patterns you only see when it is all together.

We have not built that yet, and we will not until you tell us it is worth it. So tell us. We build toward where you actually are.

On keeping this going

Straight with you: video costs real money to store and serve, and the more clips come in, the more it costs. Having a record will always be free. That is the promise, and it does not change.

But storage adds up. If this takes off, the heavier parts, a large library and the deeper tools around it, may one day sit behind a subscription, so Vera can keep paying for itself and keep serving the people here. If that day comes, we will say so first and plainly, and the part that matters, your record and being believed, will still cost you nothing.

That is it

Whatever you play on, your record is yours. A clip shows because you chose to share it, you can turn clip display off any time, and nobody has to approve it first.

Play in the open. Keep the good ones.
